Small medieval village located high, Le-Bar-sur-Loup is located only 1 kilometer from the campsite. It is on the road from Grasse to Vence in the Alpes Maritimes (06). Le-Bar-sur-Loup is also nicknamed “The city of orange trees” because of its economy and history, long linked to Admiral Grasse. Indeed, the flowers of the orange trees were used in the perfumeries of Grasse. Today, oranges are still very popular foodstuffs in Le-Bar-sur-Loup and come in the composition of jams of bitter oranges and the famous orange wine.

In the streets of Le-Bar-sur-Loup, you walk on foot, looking up to see the beautiful old houses around the Castle and the Church. The village also offers an impressive panoramic view of Gourdon, the Gorges du Loup and the Vallée du Loup.


Only 9 kilometers from the campsite, Grasse visits, discovers and appreciates. Medieval city of Art and History founded in the 7th century, Grasse has typical Provencal style. It enchants visitors with its mix of architecture and seduces tourists because of its many squares and fountains. A city both colorful and fragrant, world capital of perfumes.

In Grasse, do not forget to visit the Fragonard Museum, the International Museum of Perfumery, the Notre Dame du Puy Cathedral …

Antibes – Juan-les -Pins

Only 26 kilometers from the campsite, Antibes – Juan-les-Pins is worth a day trip. Between Nice and Cannes, the Cap d’Antibes is like a rocky spur on which you will see the most beautiful villas of the French Riviera and the most luxurious hotels. Antibes is also 25 kilometers of sandy beaches popular with tourists. Its marina is the largest in Europe and the Garoupe lighthouse offers an exceptional panorama from Italy to Estérel.

Children are not left out, in Antibes, because of a huge marine park, the largest in Europe, Marineland, which is visited for the delight of young and old.


Cannes is one of the must-sees of the Côte d’Azur, just 25 kilometers from the campsite. City fans of the seventh art, Cannes offers a rich cultural and natural heritage. From La Croisette to Croix-des-Gardes via Le Suquet, you will enjoy an excursion to Cannes to come back to the campsite at dusk.

In Cannes, on the Côte d’Azur, do not miss La Croisette, Suquet, the Lerins Islands, the Croix des Gardes, the Chemin des Etoiles, the Old Port, the Liberty Alley and … of course … the magnificent Cannes beaches!


At about fifteen kilometers from the campsite, discover Vence, a charming historic city, which has seduced big names like Dufy, Matisse, Chagall or Dubuffet. A place to discover on foot, carrying a long history to discover the bend of the streets and columns of the Marseillais, vestiges of a Roman triumphal arch.

In Vence, take the time to visit the Nativité-de-Notre-Dame cathedral and its treasure, the Columns of the Marseillais, the numerous prehistoric vestiges … and appreciate the microclimate in which bathes this peaceful and pleasant city.

30 kilometers from the campsite, Nice can be visited on foot, by small train, by bike … and even by Segway! Capital of the Côte d’Azur, Nice is full of assets. A few kilometers from the Italian border, Nice is a city of history, culture and art. Events are numerous and life is sweet. Do not miss to visit Old Nice with its typical narrow streets and small squares. So many reasons to make a trip to Nice, just thirty minutes from the campsite.


Fifty kilometers from the campsite, you will take the time to discover Monaco, the time of a day of excursion rich in wonders. You will see the famous rock, resort of the princely family and you will walk on the roads that host the Grand Prix automobile.


A little further than other places to visit, Menton is about sixty kilometers from the campsite Gorges du Loup in the Alpes Maritimes (06). A city rich in culture that has made way for the ubiquitous nature through the gardens, parks and the many plant species that can be discovered.

Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat, beautiful peninsula very protected. You can hike around the peninsula and visit the villa E. De Rothschild.

Eze, picturesque village in eagle’s nest. Take the time to cross the beautiful botanical garden, visit the 18th century church.
Hike idea: Eze seaside via Eze village (1 hr) offering a magnificent sea view.

Roquebrune Cap Martin, old village perched above the large ledge.
To visit: the castle built in the year 970, the church of the thirteenth century.
Do not miss: the millenary olive tree of Roquebrune Cap Martin. It is said that it is the oldest in the world! Its circumference reaches 10 meters; he would have 4000 years …
