Saint Jean Cap Ferrat
A magnificent rock face on which Monaco is built. Its magnificent port, the Palace and the changing of the guard, the Oceanographic museum, the exotic garden, its old town, the wax museum, the 19th century cathedral, its famous casino….
Roquebrune Cap Martin
An old village perched above the great cornice. Places to visit: the Chateau built in 970, the 13th century church. Not to be missed: Its one thousand year old olive tree, said to be the oldest in the world, with its circumference of 10 metres, it could be as old as 4,000 years – very impressive.
Beautiful town on the very edge of France where mountains and sea meet and benefit from an exceptional climate: there are a large number of lemon and orange tree (the Lemon Festival in February). Places to visit: Museums, Palaces, the exotic garden…. Villages nearby: Saint Agnes, Gorbio…
Villefranche sur Mer
The Promenade des Anglais and the superb Baie des Anges, its carnival and Battle of the Flowers (in February), the old town, its small, narrow streets and its perfumes. Its typical Nicoise cuisine: Socca, pissaladiere, pain bagnat. Its market in the Cours Saleya offering a multitude of regional products. Market from Tuesday to Sunday. Monday: Flea market/Antiques. Churches, cathedrals, squares, the port, the Bellanda tower and lots of other places of interest. A town rich in culture and architecture.
Saint Paul de Vence
Town with a very mild climate protected from the winds by the Baous chain of mountains. Very interesting old town with its medieval enclosure, its small, shaded squares and its fountains. Places to visit: 11th century cathedral, squares, Chapel including the Matisse chapel: entirely designed by Matisse – truly superb! In the heights of Vence is the beautiful village of Saint Jeannet, reputed for its many starting points for walks including into the Baous. Please note: in Baou de la Gaude there is a very impressive, one thousand year old oak tree.
One of the most beautiful villages in France, perched on a rocky peak at an altitude of 760m. This eagle’s nest offers a grandiose panoramic view over the whole of the Cote d’Azur and overlooks the Vallee du Loup. Fine panoramic view from Nice to Theoule. Place to visit: the 13th century Chateau. Super walk: from the campsite to Gourdon.
Tourettes sur Loup
Situated on a rocky peak, a medieval, fortified village, home of the violet. Numerous specialities with a violet base: liqueur, sweets, ice creams, jam.. Craftsmen and sculptors: olive wood and pottery. Places to see: the Chateau des Villeneuve dating from the 15th century and its little square. This building holds the Town Hall, where numerous exhibitions are planned. Beautiful market: Wednesday morning.
Antibes et Cap d’Antibes
Old town with ramparts set in the sea. Beautiful walk along the Port Vauban quayside. Places to visit: its pleasure port, the Quai des Milliardaires, the Peynet museum, the square fort, Marineland sea park. Le Cap d’Antibes: splendid peninsula separating Antibes from Juan les Pins. Set off from the Plage de la Garoupe for a superb walk along the seafront.

Provencal village built in a spiral staircase offering beautiful panoramic views between Grasse and the sea. Places to visit: the photography museum, the automobile museum, its bell tower from the feudal era. Numerous walks in the Parc de la Valmasque and around the Etang de Fontmerle lake.
With its famous Croisette, the Suquet quarter, the old port, the Palais des Festivals, the international pyrotechnics art festival (July and August). Set off by boat to the Iles des Lerins. The Ile Sainte Marguerite: small beaches, walks around the island (about 2 hours). Visit also the prison where the “ man in the iron mask” was incarcerated. Other visits: the royal fort and the botanical path. Ile Sainte Honorat: a private estate with a monastery. The smallest island but very pretty with a shop selling local produce such as wine.
Théoule sur mer
Situated just a few kilometres from Cannes, facing the Mediterranean, Theoule-sur-Mer is a place of exceptional beauty: fine, sandy beaches, red creeks. Visit a heavenly seaside resort where you can enjoy all the joys of water sports. Still wild in nature, discover the Massif de l’Esterel.
World capital of the perfume industry. Visit its perfumeries (visits are free): FRAGONARD, GALIMARD, MOLINARD amongst others…. And its museums: the International Perfumery Museum, Fragonard villa/museum, the Musee de la Marine and the Musee Provencal de Costume. Very beautiful 12th century cathedral in a Roman, Provencal style. .
Iles des Lérins (cannes)
The Iles des Lerins are situated out to sea from the Baie de Cannes in the Mediterranean: Sainte Marguerite: is almost completely covered by pine forest. Pretty coastal paths allow you to walk around the island. Saint-Honorat: in this peaceful spot you can discover the Lerins Monastery, the fortress, the Chapelle de la Trinite…
Le Bar Sur Loup
A village built on a rocky outcrop at an altitude of 320m, the Cite des Orangers with its old narrow streets lined with old, high houses. Its church with its gothic doorway and legendary 15th century painting of “La Danse Macabre”.
